Hello WAI IG,
I'm writing in my capacity as a long-standing participant of the
Accessible Platform Architectures Working Group (APA WG).
The APA WG is responsible for the accessibility review of all W3C
specifications. It also produces specifications and supporting
documentation relating to accessibility. It's charter has just been
approved until 2021:

Accessibility is something the W3C has taken seriously since it's the
early days of the Consortium. It is something our community continues to
take seriously to this day.
I'm now Co-chair of the Web Platform WG, and a member of the W3C
Advisory Board, but APA was the first WG I joined. It is friendly and
industrious, and an excellent way to get to know the rest of the W3C
(because it reviews all the specifications produced by other WGs). It
also provides an invaluable service to the rest of the Consortium.
If you work for a W3C member, please encourage your organisation to join
the APA WG and actively participate. If your organisation is already a
member of the APA WG, I encourage you to continue your active participation.
If you'd like to know more, I'm happy to help. Otherwise, you can
contact Janina Sajka (APA Chair) or Michael Cooper (APA team contact),
both of whom are copied on this email.
Thanks.
Léonie.
