Thank you all for your input.
Post by ruth taitI discuss this in my thesis (which is available in epub format download at
http://artbyrt.com/artbyrt_docs/splash_film.html
My experience is good for films in epubs but not longer than 3mins in
length: otherwise epub file size balloons.

I suspect it would it be a possible to create a script that downloads the
media and changes the video tag to reflect local.
That would schools to create a version of the EPUB they can distribute to
students that has the resource local rather than remote.
I'm not familiar with epub but if it is standard xml then it certainly is possible.
Hi Sirisha,
It is possible to embed video in an EPUB file (using <video>), but many
authors and publishers choose not to because it makes the files very large.

Can we have video lectures embedded in the Ebooks and have them available offline.
To elaborate, if a student downloads the Ebook, the videos should also be downloaded.
As of now I can add videos as links only.
Please provide any suggestion you may have?
Thanks,
Siri
